Growing Acai Berry
Acai berries are only to be found in one of the remotest regions of the world. The flood plains of the Amazon river, on top of a palm tree. So to think about growing them outside of this area you would have to consider the commercial aspects of such a attempt really.
Due to the uniqueness of the area itself you would have to recreate the atmosphere and general growing conditions that the Acai has in it’s natural habitat. Which when the berries themselves can only be harvested twice yearly would make it a very expensive operation.
Unless of course you could find somewhere that would simulate the Amazonian rain forest’s some where else in the world. So really we would have to say that to grow the Acai out of it’s natural surroundings would prove to be either very costly or extremely hard to do!
Of course nothing is impossible especially with the advancement in science on a daily basis we should never rule anything out completely.
We can understand people wanting to try to get the benefits of the Acai berries from their own gardens etc.. but the practicalities of it are not realistic at this time.
So for those of us in the west who want to enjoy the benefits of the Acai berry to help our bodies we will have to continue obtaining our supplies from the many supplements that are available to us.
