It’s perfectly normal to gain weight during pregnancy. Weight gain around 25-30 pounds is within normal range and will not take much effort to reduce after delivery. But if the weight gain is above this average level then you have to put some more effort to get back to pre-pregnancy shape. So here are some useful tips to reduce the extra weight gained during pregnancy

Remember No Dieting

Yes you got me right. Don’t restrict your diet after having baby especially when you are breast feeding. Take six small frequent meals. It will help improve your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and ultimately help you lose weight.

Water Intake:

You must have heard about about drinking plenty of water helps you refreshing your skin and weight loss.But don’t take it in excessive amount.Here is a rule for water intake

Healthy life style

Healthy life style is very important for healthy body. Here are some tips to change your junk food to healthy diet. Only three main steps are required to improve your life style

  1.  Never fill up your stomach leave some space
  2. Ban most of bakery products
  3. Include fiber in your diet
  4. No more carbonated drinks (regular or diet)

Exercise

Questions always arise about when to  Start exercise after having baby. It all depends on your general health. In normal vaginal delivery you can start light exercises after one week but give yourself at least 6 weeks before you start strenuous exercise. In cesareans, u should wait till 3 months before starting weight lifting exercises because it is very important to get your health back than to get back in shape.
