The Benefits of Goji Berries

goji berriesDon’t believe the hype! Or should you? With all the claims being made about the humble Goji berry in recent times. It really is hard to believe that such a simple berry could do all that the marketing claims that they can.

The fact of the matter is that they are of huge health benefits to our bodies but are they as good at everything that the marketing tells us they are. To be honest there is little way to test out some of the claims that are made about Goji berries. Claims such as:

  • Goji berries can prevent or even cure cancer.
  • They boost sexual function and keep people looking and feeling young.
  • High in anti oxidants.

But one thing is for sure the fact that they are one of the most nutritious fruits so far discovered with a serving of 10-30grms providing enough nutrition to keep the body healthy. It is recommended not to exceed this size of dosage as anymore will pass straight through the body as most vitamins and minerals do once the body has taken what it needs from the food intake.

With them being high in antioxidants then they do hold the potential with cell regeneration. Cleansing the body of harmful toxins is said to help keep us looking and feeling younger as cell recreation is faster. This can have some effect over cancerous cells making them weaker and potentially destroying them but it is not yet definite that it will cure it completely.
